The Mid Nebraska Activities Conference volleyball tournament begins today with opening round games at Dunning and Brady. Sandhills/Thedford is the top seed and will face #8 seed Twin Loup in the first round at Sandhills High School in Dunning. Anselmo-Merna is the #4 seed and will face #5 seed Arthur County in the opening round in Dunning. Brady is the #2 seed in this year’s tournament and will host #7 seed Sandhills Valley in the opening round. Mullen is the #3 seed and will face #6 seed South Loup in the first round in Brady.
The final day of the tournament is Saturday October 18th and will feature the championship semifinals followed by the third place consolation then championship match of the tournament. All consolation bracket matches will be played that day as well. All final day matches will take place at Brady high school.
Tonight’s opening round matches in Dunning will be broadcast live on KCNI 1280 AM / 96.3 FM / kcni1280.com. The first match will feature Anselmo-Merna vs Arthur County at 4 followed by Sandhills/Thedford vs Twin Loup at 5:30. A live video stream of the matches, accompanied by the radio call will be available on the Sandhills Express Facebook Page and Sandhills Express You Tube Channel. Saturday coverage of the championship semifinals, third place consolation, and championship match will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM / kbbn.com and video streamed through sandhillsexpress.com. All MNAC tournament matches will be best 2 out of 3 sets.
