The Mid-Nebraska Activities Conference volleyball tournament begins today with opening round matches in the Loup Valley and Sandhills Divisions. Today’s Loup Valley Division games will be played at Anselmo-Merna high school. The first match of the day features Ansley/Litchfield vs. Twin Loup at 4pm. The winner will advance to play the division’s top seed South Loup later in the evening. Match 2 will feature Anselmo-Merna vs. Stapleton with the winner advancing to play the division’s #2 seed Brady in the final match of the night. All four matches in the Loup Valley Division will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and on kbbn.com.
Opening round matches in the Sandhills Division will be played at Arthur County high school today. Match #1 will feature McPherson County taking on Sandhills/Thedford with the winner advancing to play the division’s top seed Mullen later this evening. Match #2 will have Hyannis playing Arthur County with the winner moving on the play Cody-Kilgore in the final match of the night.
Today’s matches will be the best 2 out of 3 sets.
The semifinals, consolation, and championship matches will be played in Broken Bow on Saturday beginning at 11am. Live coverage of the semifinals, 3rd place consolation, and championship match will be broadcast on KCNI 1280 AM / 96.3 FM and on kcni1280.com
