The 2024 Mid Nebraska Activities Conference volleyball tournament begins today. Brady is the top seed and Anselmo-Merna the #2 seed. Each team will host opening round matches today. In Brady, Sandhills/Thedford (the 4 seed) will face Arthur County (the 5 seed) at 4 p.m. central followed by Brady against South Loup. In Merna, Mullen (the 3 seed) will face Twin Loup (the 6 seed) at 4 p.m. followed by Anselmo-Merna vs Sandhills Valley.
The final day of the tournament will take place in Broken Bow on Saturday (10/19). Consolation matches will begin the day at 10 a.m. followed by the semifinals at 1 p.m. then the 3rd place consolation and championship match.
Central Nebraska’s Sports Source will provide live radio and video stream coverage of the opening round and championship Saturday. First round matches from Merna today will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com with a live video stream of the matches, accompanied by the radio call, available through sandhillsexpress.com on the Sandhills Express Facebook page and Sandhills Express You Tube channel. Radio coverage of Saturday’s matches will begin with the semifinals at 1 p.m. followed by the 3rd place consolation match on KCNI 1280 AM / 96.3 FM then move to KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com for coverage of the championship match. A live video stream of the matches, accompanied by the radio call, will be available through sandhillsexpress.com on the Sandhills Express Facebook page and Sandhills Express You Tube channel.
