MNAC Girls Basketball Quarterfinals Today / SWC Basketball Tournament Begins

The quarterfinals of the Mid Nebraska Activities Conference girls basketball tournament take place today with games being played at Sandhills High School in Dunning and at Anselmo-Merna High School.  Games in Dunning begin with the #4 seed Mullen vs the #5 seed Twin Loup.  Tip off is scheduled for 5:30 central time.  The following game will feature the host team and top seed Sandhills/Thedford as they face Arthur County.  Games from Dunning will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com.  Games at Anselmo-Merna begin with the #3 seed South Loup vs the #6 seed Hyannis at 5:30 followed by #2 seed Anselmo-Merna vs Sandhills Valley.  Games from AM will be broadcast on KCNI 96.3 FM and kcni1280.com with a live video stream, accompanied by the radio call, available on the Sandhills Express Facebook page and You Tube channel.  Today’s winners will advance to the tournament semifinals scheduled for Thursday at North Platte Community College.

The Southwest Conference basketball tournament begins today.  The Broken Bow boys basketball team will travel to Valentine tonight with the winner advancing to tomorrow’s quarterfinal round to face top seed Ogallala.  Tonight’s game is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m.
