The Mid Nebraska Activities Conference has released the bracket and pairings for their girls and boys basketball tournaments which take place next weekend.
Girls opening round games will take place on Monday (1/27). Anselmo-Merna is the top seed in the girls tournament. AM will host Sandhills Valley at 7 p.m. in Merna. Prior to that, #4 seed Sandhills/Thedford will face Arthur County at 5:30 in Merna. Opening round games from Merna will be broadcast on KCNI 96.3 FM / kcni1280.com / Free KCNI Pure Country app with a live video stream of the games, accompanied by the radio call, available through sandhillsexpress.com on the Sandhills Express Facebook Page and Sandhills Express You Tube Channel. The #2 seed in the girls tournament is Mullen. The Lady Broncos will host South Loup in the opening round at 7 p.m. central time. Prior to that, #3 seed Brady will play Twin Loup in Mullen at 5:30 central. Opening round games from Mullen will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com.
Boys opening round games will take place on Tuesday (1/28). Sandhills Valley is the top seed in the boys tournament. The Mavericks will host Brady at 7 p.m in Stapleton. Prior to that, #4 seed Anselmo-Merna will play Sandhills/Thedford at 5:30 in Stapleton. South Loup is the #2 seed in the boys tournament and will host Arthur County in Arnold at 7 p.m. Prior to that, #3 seed Twin Loup will face Mullen at 5:30. Opening round games from Arnold will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com with a live video stream, accompanied by the radio call, available through sandhillsexpress.com on the Sandhills Express You Tube channel and Sandhills Express Facebook page.
The tournament semifinals will take place on Thursday (1/30) with the 3rd place consolation and championship games being played on Saturday (2/1) all at North Platte Community College. First round consolation games will be played on Friday (1/31)
