The Mid Nebraska Activities Conference hosted its cross country conference championships in Arnold on Tuesday. Sandhills Valley was the boys team champion. South Loup was the boys team runner-up and Sandhills/Thedford was third. South Loup’s Logan Recoy was the boys individual champion in a winning time of 17:48. Jarred Trimble of Sandhills Valley was 2nd (18:03). Colin Rooney of Sandhills Valley was third (18:19). Kyle Finney of Mullen was fourth (18:49) and Keith Morash of Sandhills Valley was fifth (18:53).
South Loup was MNAC girls team champion and Sandhills Valley the runner-up. Peyton Paxton of Mullen was the girls individual champion in a winning time of 20:44. Ella Cool of South Loup was 2nd (21:55). Ivy Tullis of South Loup was third (22:00). Jocelyn Franzen of Brady was fourth (22:14) and Ali Trimble of Sandhills Valley was fifth (24:38).
Arcadia/Loup City was among the teams that competed at the Lou Platte Conference cross country championships Tuesday at St. Paul. Ty Greenland of ALC was the boys individual champion in a winning time of 18:08.79. Ord was the boys team champion with Doniphan-Trumbull finishing runner-up. Anna Fitzgerald of Doniphan-Trumbull was the girls individual champion with a winning time of 21:22.19. Kelbi Martin was the top finisher for Arcadia/Loup City placing 16th (26:49.48)
