The Mid Nebraska Activities Conference has released its all conference basketball teams for the 2023/24 season. The girls all conference team is led by Sandhills/Thedford who has two players on the first team. The Lady Knights won this year’s MNAC tournament title and qualified for the girls state basketball championships by winning the D2-5 district championship. Representing Sandhills/Thedford on the first team are Dayle Haake and Jaylen Dimmitt. Joining them on the first team are Brynn Schwarz of South Loup, Makenna Miller of Anselmo-Merna, Jaedin Johns of Arthur County and Payton Stieneke of Brady.
The boys all conference team is led by South Loup and Sandhills/Thedford who each placed two players on the first team. Sandhills/Thedford was this year’s MNAC tournament champion while South Loup qualified for the district finals this year. Representing S/T on the first team were Kyle Cox and Brady Dahlberg. Representing South Loup on the first team were Trey Connell and Cache Gracey. Joining them on the first team were Quincy Ryker of Twin Loup and Kyle Finney of Mullen.
Receiving 2nd team honors (girls) were Laney Dahlberg and Karley Haake of Sandhills/Thedford, Rhianen Myers of Anselmo-Merna, Hayley Donohoe of Mullen, Cassidy Grint of Twin Loup, and Taryn Stearns of Brady.
Receiving 2nd team honors (boys) were Quinten Myers and Colin Cooksley of Anselmo-Merna, Shawn McBride and Riley Shirk of Brady, Leyton Connell of Sandhills Valley, and Maurice Robinson of Sandhills/Thedford.
