The Mid Nebraska Activities Conference has released its all conference basketball selections for the 2022/2023 high school basketball season. South Loup was the girls MNAC tournament champion this season and placed two players on the all conference first team. Ava Pandorf averaged 11.4 points per game to lead the Lady Bobcats in scoring this season. Joining her on the all conference first team is teammate Bryn Schwarz who averaged 9.4 points per game and led the team in steals with 62 for the season. Shaylyn Safranek of Anselmo-Merna was a girls first team selection. Safranek averaged 12 points and 8 rebounds per game to lead the team in both categories. Kathryn Folkers of Twin Loup helped lead the Lady Wolves to 17 wins this season. Folkers averaged 11 points and 9.5 rebounds per game to receive first team all conference honors. Jaylen Dimmitt of Sandhills Valley was a first team all conference selection. Dimmitt averaged 11.8 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Also voted to the MNAC girls all conference first team was Dayle Haake of Sandhills/Thedford.
South Loup was the boys MNAC tournament champion this season and placed two players on the all conference first team. Representing the Bobcats were Cache Gracey and Trey Connell. Gracey and Connell helped lead South Loup to an 18-5 overall mark this season. Clayton Moore of Mullen was a first team all conference selection. Moore had a standout senior season leading the Broncos to 17 wins this season and an appearance in the district finals where he scored a game high 27 points against Santee in the D2-8 district championship game. Kyle Cox of Sandhills/Thedford was a first team all conference selection. Cox helped lead the Knights to 16 wins this season. Hyannis placed two players on the all conference first team. Representing the Longhorns were Max Kostman and Rylee Anderson.
