The Broken Bow wrestling team will travel to Cozad today to compete at the Southwest Conference wrestling championships. Cozad won the SWC team title last year with Broken Bow finishing as the team runner up. Joining Cozad and Broken Bow at today’s meet will be fellow conference schools Ainsworth, Valentine, Holdrege, Ogallala, Minden, Gothenburg, and McCook. Central Nebraska’s Sports Source will provide live coverage of today’s meet. Live radio play by play of all Broken Bow matches can be heard on KCNI 1280 AM / 96.3 FM and kcni1280.com. The meet is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
Twin Loup will host Anselmo-Merna for a girls and boys basketball doubleheader today in Sargent. Today’s games will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com with the girls varsity game scheduled for 6 p.m. with the boys varsity game to follow. The Fort Kearny Conference girls basketball tournament continues today with the girls semifinals at Kearney High School. Top seed Overton will face Wilcox Hildreth in the first semifinal followed by #2 seed SEM vs #3 Elm Creek.
