Local Sports Calendar 1/6 – Ansley/Litchfield vs Twin Loup on KBBN / Video Stream

Area basketball action continues today. Among tonight’s area matchups will be Ansley/Litchfield vs Twin Loup. The Spartans will host the Wolves in Ansley for a girls and boys basketball doubleheader. The girls varsity game is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m. with the boys game to follow. Tonight’s games will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com. A live video stream of the games, accompanied by the radio call will be available on the Sandhills Express Facebook page and the Sandhills Express You Tube Channel.

The Broken Bow basketball teams will take the court for the first time in 2023 as they host Holdrege tonight at the Indian gym. Both teams will also be in action tomorrow as the Broken Bow girls will face Beatrice at the Nebraska Girls Basketball Showcase and the Broken Bow boys will face Bridgeport. Both games will take place at Kearney High School. The Broken Bow / Beatrice girls game is scheduled to tip off at 1:50 Saturday afternoon and the Broken Bow / Bridgport boys game is scheduled to tip off at 6:45. Both games will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and on kbbn.com

Also on the local sports calendar today, the Broken Bow wrestling team will take the mat for the first time in 2023 as they travel to Malcom for a dual. The Indians will compete at the Aquinas Invitational in David City on Saturday. Burwell is scheduled to host its annual wrestling invitational today. Area teams scheduled to compete along with the Longhorns include Ansley/Litchfield, Twin Loup, and SEM.
