Local Sports Calendar 1/13 – Broken Bow Wrestling Tri on KBBN / Video Stream

The Broken Bow wrestling team will host Valentine and Gothenburg tonight for their annual triangular. The opening dual is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. and will feature Broken Bow vs Valentine. Broken Bow is ranked #5 in Class B in the latest rankings released by NEWrestle.com and Valentine is ranked #8 in Class C. The website lists two wrestlers from each team in the top 3 of their respective weight class. Broken Bow’s Cyrus Wells in ranked #2 at 132 lbs. and Sawyer Bumgarner is ranked #3 at 285 lbs. in Class B. Valentine’s William Sprenger is ranked #2 at 113 lbs. and Ashton Lurz in ranked #3 at 152 lbs. in Class C. Tonight’s second dual will feature Valentine vs Gothenburg and the night will conclude with Broken Bow vs Gothenburg. All three duals tonight will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and on kbbn.com. A special video stream, accompanied by the radio call, will be available on the following media platforms : KCNI/KBBN YouTube page, Sandhills Express Facebook page, and on Twitter (@KBBNsports). Matches will take place at the Broken Bow Middle School Auditorium.

Also on the local sports calendar today, Broken Bow will host Kearney Catholic at the Indian gym for a girls and boys basketball doubleheader. The girls game will feature a top ten matchup in Class C1. Broken Bow is 9-2 and ranked #8 by the Omaha World Herald while Kearney Catholic enters at 10-3 and is ranked #6 by the publication. The girls varsity game is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m. with the boys game to follow.
