Broken Bow girls golf head coach Kelly Cooksley has been honored by The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) and the Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA). The two organizations announced its 2021/2022 coaches of the year in Nebraska high school athletics in a press release this week. Cooksley was chosen as girls golf coach of the year. Cooksley has helped lead the Broken Bow girls golf to the Class C team championship in each of the past three seasons (2020, 2021, and 2022). Award recipients will be honored during halftime of the Class A Girls State Basketball Semifinal game on Friday, March 3rd, 2023 at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln.
