Burwell will host Ansley/Litchfield tonight in the KBBN area 8 man football game of the week. Both teams enter tonight’s game at 1-2 on the season. Ansley/Litchfield collected its first win of the season last week by knocking off Pleasanton 36-6. Spartans head coach Kurt Kulhanek visited with KCNI/KBBN radio this week and said that the improvement in communication on the offensive line and on defense was a major factor in picking up their first win of the season.
Burwell looks to bounce back after falling to top ten ranked Ainsworth on the road last week. Burwell head coach Luke Gideon told KCNI/KBBN sports that he has been very pleased with the progress of the defense this year and hopes to see the same progression from the offense as they continue through the season.
Tonight’s game will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM with coverage beginning with the Consolidated Friday Night Lights pregame show at 6 p.m. Kickoff is scheduled for 7.
