South Loup hosted a volleyball triangular with Mullen and Anselmo-Merna on Tuesday night in Arnold. Mullen went 2-0 on the night to improve to 3-0 on the season. The Lady Broncos opened with a straight set win over South Loup 25-14, 25-20. In the second match of the evening, Mullen dropped the opening set to Anselmo-Merna 18-25 but came back to tie the match winning set #2 25-23 and then closed it out in the third winning 25-16. In the final match of the night, Anselmo-Merna collected its second win of the season holding off South Loup 25-21, 25-16.
Broken Bow collected its first win of the season knocking off North Platte High 3-1 on Tuesday night. It was a thrilling four sets with Broken Bow winning the opening set 25-23 and taking the second set 28-26. North Platte extended the match by winning set #3 25-27 but Broken Bow would close out the match in set #4 25-21. Olivia Neely led Broken Bow with 20 kills in the match and Izabelle Tibbs finished with 13 kills. McKenna Jacobsen had 40 assists in the match. Broken Bow will play at Gothenburg on Thursday and compete at the Lexington Invite on Saturday.
