The Broken Bow volleyball team played its home opener Thursday night against Lexington. Broken Bow started the season on the road while final touches were being made to the newly remodeled gymnasium to make it ready to host athletic competition. A large crowd was on hand to support the Lady Indians and check out the new facility. It was a highly competitive match that saw Lexington hang on for a 3-1 win. The Minutemaids took the opening set 25-19 but Broken Bow came back to tie the match winning a thrilling second set 29-27. Lexington went up 2-1 winning set #3 25-18. In the fourth, Broken Bow had set point at 24-23 but Lexington won the point to extend the set and would later convert on their third match point opportunity to win 28-26 and secure the win. Broken Bow had three players finish in double figures in kills. Olivia Neely finished with 13 kills, Izabelle Tibbs had 11, and Baylee Clark finished with 10. McKenna Jacobsen finished with 38 assists. The Lady Indians are now 5-6 on the season.
