Sandhills/Thedford held off South Loup Thursday night 32-22 to improve to 3-1 on the season. South Loup pulled to within 24-22 in the second half but after a defensive stop Sandhills/Thedford was able to score and converted on a critical two point conversion to go up by 10 and hang on for the win. Kyle Cox had two touchdowns for Sandhills/Thedford and Connor Cooksley had a big game finishing with 125 yards rushing and one touchdown to help lead the Knights. South Loup was led by quarterback Trey Connell who scored three touchdowns and had 136 yards rushing. Sandhills/Thedford will travel to Hyannis next week while South Loup will host Leyton.
