The Broken Bow Indians put together back to back wins for the first time this season as they shutout Minden Friday night 30-0 on the road. Aidan Markham finished with three touchdown runs including a 61 yard scamper that put Broken Bow up 16-0 at the half. Broken Bow’s other score came on a 24 yard touchdown pass from Dominic Nowak to Cash Kleeb which came on a 4th down and 8. Broken Bow improves to 3-4 overall and moves to 2-1 in district play. Broken Bow goes on the road next Friday to face top five ranked Central City. The Bison are still unbeaten after holding off Milford Friday night 43-21.
In the KBBN game of the week, Anselmo-Merna improved to 6-1 defeating Twin Loup 46-27. Anselmo-Merna led 22-20 at halftime but Twin Loup scored on their opening possession of the second half on a five yard touchdown run by Yahya Harris to take the lead 27-22. The Coyotes then put up 24 unanswered points to pull away for the win. Anselmo-Merna’s Dane Duryea had three touchdown runs and touchdown passes to Colin Wright and Jackson Christen. Caenyn Priest had a 7 yard TD run for the Coyotes. Oran Grint had a touchdown run and a touchdown catch for Twin Loup and Carter Hall kicked two field goals for Twin Loup who falls to 4-3 on the season. Anselmo-Merna will host Palmer next Friday to close the regular season and Twin Loup will play at Burwell.
