Broken Bow traveled to Lexington for a girls and boys basketball doubleheader on Tuesday night. The Broken Bow girls improved to 14-5 on the season. Broken Bow jumped out early to an 18-4 lead after the first quarter and increased their lead to 40-12 at halftime on their way to a 60-26 win. The Lady Indians made nine 3’s in the first half and finished with twelve for the game. Ten players scored for Broken Bow led by Charlee Myers who made four 3’s and finished with a game high 14 points. The Broken Bow boys collected their sixth win of the season. Broken Bow led 32-25 at half but then outscored Lexington 15-3 in the third quarter. Lexington fought back in the fourth to get as close as seven but Broken Bow was able to hang for a 56-47 win. The Indians were led by Dominic Nowak who finished with a game high 17 points and Braxtton Johnson also finished in double figures with ten. Broken Bow will host Ogallala for a girls and boys doubleheader on Saturday.
