The Broken Bow girls basketball team improved to 6-1 on the season as they knocked off Alliance on the opening day of the Boone Central Holiday Tournament Tuesday. Bow turned in a solid defensive effort as they held Alliance to under 30 points in a 41-24 win. In the win, Broken Bow’s Kya Scott went over 1,000 points for her career. Anselmo-Merna edged Maywood Hayes Center 53-50 in the girls championship game of the Brady Holiday tournament on Tuesday. It was Maywood Hayes Center’s first loss of the season as AM improved to 7-3.
