The South Loup girls and boys basketball teams each picked up wins against Twin Loup on Friday night in the season opener for both teams. The South Loup girls pulled away in the 4th quarter for a 53-40 victory over the Lady Wolves. South Loup’s Ava Pandorf scored 9 of her game high 20 points in the 4th quarter to lead the Lady Bobcats. Kathryn Folkers had a team high 12 points to lead the way for Twin Loup. The South Loup boys jumped out to a 20-7 lead after the first quarter on their way to a 62-30 win over Twin Loup. The Bobcats were led by Trey Connell and Cache Gracey. Connell had a game high 23 points and Gracey finished with 19 for South Loup. Ryan McBride led the way for Twin Loup finishing with a team high 11 points including three 3-pointers.
