The Broken Bow girls and boys basketball teams each won their season opener on Thursday night with wins over Arcadia/Loup City. The Broken Bow girls team knocked down ten 3’s and eleven different players scored on their way to a 56-16 win. MaKinley Tobey led the Lady Indians in scoring with a game high 13 points. Nicole Chilewski and Eva Jaixen each had 5 points to lead ALC in scoring. The Broken Bow boys team used a 12-0 run in the first half to help lead them to a 48-31 victory. Broken Bow had two players finish in double figures led by Braxtton Johnson who had a game high 16 and Dominic Nowak finished with 12. ALC was led by Sam Krolikowski who had a team high ten points.
