Sandhills/Thedford hosted South Loup for a girls and boys basketball doubleheader Thursday night in Dunning. The South Loup girls picked up their 6th win of the season with a 47-33 victory. Sandhills/Thedford was held to just four points in the first half but came back strong scoring 29 in the second half. South Loup would match them though point for point to collect the win. South Loup was led by Megan Donegan who had a game high 20 points. Sandhills/Thedford was led by Tenley Rasmussen who had a team high 11. In the boys game, Sandhills/Thedford came out on top 59-54. The Knights trailed South Loup 44-40 going to the fourth quarter but would outscore the Bobcats in the final 8 minutes 19-10 to collect the win. Sandhills/Thedford was led by Dane Pokorny who had a game high 25, eleven of which came in the final quarter. South Loup was led by Cache Gracey who had a team high 20.
