Ansley/Litchfield hosted South Loup for a girls and boys basketball doubleheader Thursday night in Ansley. The South Loup girls improved their record to 11-4 with a thrilling 37-35 win. Taylor Ross scored with less than 10 seconds left to give the Bobcats the lead. Ansley/Litchfield was unable to get a shot off before the end of regulation as South Loup held on for the win. South Loup was led by Megan Donegan who had a game high 16 points including four 3’s. Taylor Ross also finished in double figures for the Lady Bobcats with 12 points, 11 of which came in the 2nd half. Ansley/Litchfield was led by Kaylee Rohde who had a team high 13 points. In the boys game, Ansley/Litchfield pulled away in the 4th quarter to secure a 74-59 win. The Spartans had five players finish in double figures led by Leyton Rohde who had a team high 20 points. Cache Gracey had a huge night for the Bobcats finishing with a game high 29. Ansley/Litchfield improves to 11-3 on the season. Central Nebraska’s Sports Source was informed that the victory marked the 250th career win for Spartans head coach Matt Drew.
