Fall Sports Preview – Ansley/Litchfield Football

Ansley/Litchfield returns a good core of players from a team that finished 6-4 last season.  The Spartans qualified for the state playoffs in 2020 winning on the road against Riverside in the opening round and then falling to eventual state champion BDS in the second round.  A/L battled through injuries a year ago and saw players step up to fill roles during the course of the season.  Head coach Kurt Kulhanek told KCNI/KBBN sports that the experience gained last year will help the team moving forward this season.

The Spartans return good talent from last year’s playoff team.  Coach Kulhanek spoke of the players A/L will lean on for leadership this season and how impressed he has been with the unity of this year’s team.

Ansley/Litchfield will open its season on August 27th when they host Anselmo-Merna in Ansley.  The game will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com.  The Spartans will also be featured on KBBN October 1st when they host Sandhills/Thedford and on October 8th when they play at South Loup.
