Burwell Wrestling Invite Results

Burwell hosted its annual wrestling invitational on Friday.  Central Valley was the team champion with 206 points and Burwell was runner up with 188.5.  SEM placed in the top ten finishing 7th with 75.5 points.  Burwell had two individual champions on the day.  Brody Jensen was champion at 113 lbs. and  Austin Mayfield was champion at 138 lbs.  The Longhorns had three runner up finishes including  Kolton Thoene at 144 lbs., Cort Buss at 150 lbs., and Cale Buss at 215.  Other area highlights included Maddox Jones of SEM winning the championship at 175 lbs.  The Mustangs had two other medalists in the top four including Clayton Scoville 4th at 120 lbs., and Heath Henson was 4th at 150 lbs.  Ansley/Litchfield had two medal winners in the top four.  Isaac O’Brien was third at 175 lbs. and Andy Cash was third for the Spartans at 285.  Wyatt Stieb of Arcadia/Loup City was runner up at 190 lbs. and Joseph Ducker was 4th at 157 lbs. for the Rebels.  Cazen Smith of Twin Loup placed 3rd at 150 lbs.
