Broken Bow claimed the team championship at the Southwest Conference boys wrestling tournament Friday in Holdrege. Broken Bow won the team title with 186 points. Gothenburg was runner up with 124 points and McCook was third with 118.5 points. Broken Bow sent eight wrestlers to the finals of their weight class finishing with five conference champions and three runner up finishes. Emmett Palmer was champion at 132 lbs. Palmer won by fall over Conner Tilson of Holdrege in the championship match. Braxon Rynearson was champion at 150 lbs. Rynearson defeated Derrek Marquardt of Holdrege by fall in the finals. Aidan Markham was champion at 165 winning by fall over Landon Baker of Cozad in the finals. Cobe Wells was champion at 175. Wells won by a 12-6 decision over Tristan Koch of Gothenburg in the championship match and freshman Croix Watson was conference champion at 215 lbs. winning by a 6-1 decision over Drew Seiler of Minden in the finals. Finishing as conference runner up for the Indians were Kelstyn Lindner at 126, Cash Watson at 138, and Ahren Finney at 157. Placing third for Broken Bow at the conference meet were Zach Longfellow at 106 lbs., Richi Diaz at 144. and Devon Baum at 285. Final Results are posted below.
