Broken Bow Wins Second Game of Juniors Tournament

Broken Bow is hosting the junior legion mid-summer classic baseball tournament this weekend at Paul Brown Field. Broken Bow won their second game of the tournament Saturday with an 11-0 shutout of Alliance. Brice Chaplin and Tayte Thornton combined for a two hit shutout. Chaplin pitched 2 2/3 innings giving up one hit and striking out four. Thornton pitched 2 1/3 innings giving up one hit and striking out three. Eli Coble was 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI. Max Denson, Brice Chaplin, Zach Loy, and Coy Wardyn each had two hits. Loy, Wardyn, and Owen Hartman each had 2 runs batted in. Broken Bow is 2-0 in the tournament and 12-4 on the season. Bow will play two games tomorrow facing Plattsmouth at noon and Lexington at 6.
