Broken Bow Wins C4 District Wrestling Team Title

Broken Bow hosted the C4 district wrestling championships on Saturday.  Broken Bow claimed the team championship with 167.5 points.  Minden was second and O’Neill was third.  Broken Bow qualified seven wrestlers for the state wrestling tournament next week in Omaha.  Six wrestlers made the finals in their weight class.  Max Denson was the district champion at 190 lbs.  The Indians had five runner-up finishes including Chauncey Watson at 120 lbs., Braxon Rynearson at 138, Dakota Baum at 157, Brice Chaplin at 175, and Cal Wells at 215 lbs.  William Moninger qualified for state by finishing 3rd at 150 lbs.

Gothenburg also competed at the C4 district meet and qualified two for state.  They included Kade Cox at 157 lbs. and Cole Atkinson at 215 lbs.
