Broken Bow vs Holdrege Tonight at B6 Senior Legion Area Tournament on KBBN

Today marks day four of the Class B Area 6 American Legion seniors baseball tournament being played at Paul Brown Field in Broken Bow.  Broken Bow is the only remaining unbeaten team in the double elimination tournament.  After defeating Louisville/Weeping Water 5-1 on Friday, Broken Bow edged McCook on Saturday 3-2.

Broken Bow had the day off Sunday and is now one of three teams remaining in the tournament.  Broken Bow will be back in action tonight and will face the top seed Holdrege who avoided elimination on Sunday with a thrilling 3-2 walk off win against McCook in extra innings.  The Broken Bow / Holdrege game is set for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com.  Holdrege must win to stay alive in the tournament.  Broken Bow will play again on Tuesday regardless of tonight’s outcome.  Also staying alive in the tournament Sunday was Minden.  Minden eliminated Louisville/Weeping Water by a score of 4-3.  With the way the bracket lays out, Minden will not play again until Tuesday.
