Broken Bow Volleyball Begins Season at Hershey – Match on KCNI

The Broken Bow volleyball team begins its 2022 season tonight when they travel to Hershey to take on the Lady Panthers.  Head coach Skylar Morris visited with KCNI/KBBN radio about the upcoming season Tuesday night during the Broken Bow Fall Sports Kickoff.  Morris said the biggest improvement from day one of fall camp to now has been the connection between setter(s) and hitters.

 

Tonight’s varsity match between Broken Bow and Hershey will be broadcast live on KCNI 1280 AM / 96.3 FM.  A live video stream, accompanied by the radio call, will be available on the Sandhills Express Facebook page and You Tube channel.

Other area volleyball matchups scheduled for today include Ansley/Litchfield starting its season at Amherst with a triangular against Amherst and Elm Creek.  Twin Loup hosts Stuart in Taylor, Arcadia/Loup City is at Wood River, SEM hosts Gibbon, Sandhills Valley is at the Maywood Hayes Center triangular, Sandhills/Thedford is at the Cody Kilgore triangular, and Gothenburg hosts Cozad.

Also on the local sports calendar today, the Broken Bow girls golf team begins its season at Meadowlark Hills golf course in Kearney.  The two time defending Class C team champions will play at the Kearney Catholic Invite today then return to the same course on Friday to participate in the Kearney High Invite.
