The Broken Bow unified bowling team will travel to Hastings today for the B-5 district championships to take place at Pastime Lanes.
Joining Broken Bow in today’s district competition will be Aurora, Cambridge-Arapahoe, Central Valley, Hastings, Lexington, McCook, Northwest, and Southern Valley.
Each district champion will qualify for the state championship. The district championship will be based on total pinfall during a 6 game Baker trio game. A Baker game is when multiple bowlers bowl one game. Team members alternate frames of one game meaning the same bowler never bowls back to back frames. Class B is comprised of six districts. The top two teams, based on total pinfall during district competition, that did not win their district will qualify for state as wildcard qualifiers.
The NSAA Unified Sports Bowling State Championships are scheduled for Monday, December 9th at Sun Valley Lanes and Games in Lincoln, NE.
