Broken Bow to Host Pierce in the Opening Round of the Class C1 State Football Playoffs – SEM Makes 6 Man Playoffs

The Broken Bow football team has advanced to the Class C1 state playoffs for the first time since 2015.  The Indians will host defending C1 state champion Pierce in the opening round on Friday at Mark Russell Field.  Both teams concluded the regular season at 7-2.  Broken Bow is the #8 seed and Pierce the #9 seed.  The winner will advance to the state quarterfinals and play the winner of Ashland/Greenwood and Adams Central.  Kick off for the game is scheduled for 6 p.m.  The game will be broadcast on KCNI 1280 AM / 96.3 FM and kcni1280.com.

SEM made the 6 man playoff field.  The Mustangs finished the regular season at 5-3 and are the #10 seed in the 6 man bracket.  SEM will play at Arthur County in the first round.  The winner will advance out to play the winner of Stuart vs Cody Kilgore.
