Broken Bow to Host B6 American Legion Baseball Area Tournament as the #2 Seed

The bracket has been released for the upcoming B6 American Legion seniors baseball tournament.  The tournament will take place at Broken Bow’s Paul Brown Field.  Broken Bow is the #2 seed in the tournament and will begin play Friday (July 25th) against #5 seed Louisville / Weeping Water at 7 pm.  The other opening round matchups Friday, in the six team tournament, include top seed Holdrege vs O’Neill and #3 seed McCook vs Minden.  The double elimination tournament will continue through Tuesday July 29.  All Broken Bow games will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com.

The Class B American Legion Baseball state tournament will operate with a different format this year.  The tournament will be divided into two divisions with the division champions meeting on August 9th for a winner take all championship.  The area tournament champion and tournament runner-up will both qualify for state.  The host team of each divisional tournament will receive an automatic berth.  Minden is serving as the host of the National Division tournament, meaning that three teams from the B6 tournament will qualify for the state tournament.
