The Broken Bow swim team was represented by two swimmers at the Midwestern Long Course Championship held at the Woods Pool in Lincoln, NE this past weekend.
Lailah Jones qualified for the girls eleven-twelve year old 50 meter freestyle. Jones qualified with a time of 35.63 and improved on that with a time of 35.42 at the championship meet.
Gage Carrizales qualified for the boys eleven-twelve year old 50 meter freestyle. Carrizales qualified for the championships with a time of 36.47 and bettered that over the weekend with a time of 36.09.
The Midwestern championships marked the end of the season for the Broken Bow swim team. 57 swimmers were a part of this year’s team.
