The Broken Bow Spirit 18U softball team dropped a doubleheader to Central City Stampede 18U on Tuesday evening.
In game one, Broken Bow led 3-2 after the first inning but Central City came back with nine unanswered runs to claim an 11-3 win. Ida Bumgarner was 3 for 3 in the game for the Spirit. Cassidy Schweitzer finished 2 for 3 with a run scored and 1 RBI. Adyson Priest also had a multi hit game finishing 2 for 3 with one run scored.
In game two, Broken Bow built a 7-2 lead, thanks in part to a four run 2nd inning, but Central City would erupt for six runs in their final at bat to claim an 8-7 walk off win. Cassidy Schweitzer was 2 for 2 with two runs scored and 1 RBI. Keelyn Shea also had a multi hit game finishing 2 for 3 with 2 RBI.
