Broken Bow Spirit Battles Tough in Doubleheader

The Broken Bow Spirit 16U/18U team was in action playing two games on Wednesday night.  The Spirit faced the Belles in game one.  The Spirit offense was held in check collecting just 2 hits in the game and the Belles scored seven runs in the 2nd inning to pull away for an 11-0 win.  Adyson Priest and Dalila Griffiths collected hits for the Spirit.

In the Spirit’s second game of the night, Bow dropped a high scoring game 13-9.  The teams combined for 28 hits.  Bow fell behind 8-0 but came back to tie the game scoring eight runs in the fifth inning.  Each team scored a run in the 6th but Bow’s opponent would score 4 runs in the 7th to get the win.  Micah Books, Keelyn Shea, and Trinity Erickson all had multi hit games.  Shea was 2 for 4 with a run scored and 1 RBI while Books and Erickson each finished 2 for 3 with a run scored and 2 RBI.  Dalila Griffiths had a triple and 3 runs batted in.
