The Broken Bow Spirit 18U softball team faced Fearless-Huxoll Softball 15U for a doubleheader on Thursday. The Spirit dropped game one 4-0. Broken Bow collected six hits in the game including a triple by Ida Bumgarner and a double from Brielle Hamel-Evans but could not bring any runs across.
In game two, the Spirit fell 12-2. Anslee Campbell had a triple and Skylar Smith a double to lead the Spirit offense. The Spirit runs were scored by Smith and Ida Bumgarner and driven in on a base hit by Bailey Hawkins.
The Spirit are now 3-3 on the season.
