The Broken Bow American Legion Seniors baseball team will be the #2 seed in the Class B Area 6 double elimination American Legion baseball tournament to be played at Paul Brown Field. The tournament begins with opening round games on Friday and will run through Tuesday July 30th.
Broken Bow will open play against Doniphan-Trumbull-Gitner on Friday at 4 p.m. with the winner advancing to the winner’s bracket to face the winner of Central City vs Gothenburg which will take place Friday at 1:30. The first game on Friday will feature the #4 seed Holdrege taking on McCook with the winner advancing to play top seed Minden in the second round on Saturday. The winner of the Area 6 tournament will advance to the state tournament which begins August 3rd in Holdrege. If Holdrege were to win the Area 6 tournament, the second place team would represent Area 6 at the state tournament since Holdrege has already secured an automatic bid to state as the host team.
All Broken Bow games from the Area 6 tournament will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com.
