Broken Bow senior Molly Staples officially signed her letter of intent Thursday (3/24) to join the Doane University cheerleading program. Staples was a captain of the Broken Bow cheer team this year and was a member of the Broken Bow cheerleading team all four years in high school. Molly visited with the local media prior to her signing and said that the Doane cheer squad cheers for all sports teams during home contests. Molly’s older sister Kali is a current member of the Doane women’s basketball team. Molly said that her sister being at Doane and the beauty of the campus were some of the things that directed her to the university located in Crete, NE.
Staples shared what she enjoys most about cheerleading.
Cheerleading requires training and preparation just like any sport. Staples talked about some of the training and preparation she will be going through once she joins the Doane cheerleading program.
