Brice Chaplin signs his letter of intent to play football for Hastings College as his family and Broken Bow football coaches look on

Central Nebraska’s Sports Source was invited to a letter of intent signing for Broken Bow senior Brice Chaplin who declared his intentions to join the Hastings College football program.  Chaplin had a standout football season for Broken Bow.  Chaplin was named first team all district and received all state honorable mention from the Omaha World Herald.  As a result of his success this past season, Chaplin has been selected to play in this summer’s Shrine Bowl all star football game.  Chaplin, a multi-sport athlete, shared what led him to pursue the sport of football in college.

“Maybe just realizing that I might never get to play again kind of made me drive to want to play again in college.”

Chaplin has worked hard and has spent many hours in the weight room to make him ready for the next step in his athletic career.

“I’ve changed a lot.  Just lift all the time.  Got real strong.  Changed my body and started working hard.”

Chaplin has had a great support system around which he has been very thankful for.

“The support is amazing.  Everyone has been pushing me toward this moment.  Just thankful for all of that.”
