Broken Bow Legion Baseball – Weekend Recap

It was a good weekend for the Broken Bow American Legion baseball teams.  The Bow seniors remained undefeated in league play with a 7-2 win over Imperial on Sunday.  Max Denson picked up the win on the mound pitching four scoreless innings giving up just two hits and striking out six.  Kanzas Kellum had a multi-hit game finishing 2 for 3.  Brice Chaplin was 1 for 3 with a double and two runs scored Dominic Nowak was also 1 for 3 with a double, a run scored, and 1 RBI.  The Bow seniors are now 13-3 on the season.

The Bow juniors began the weekend with 10-6 win over Gothenburg on Friday.  Carter Hall was 3 for 4 in the leadoff spot with two doubles, two runs scored, and an RBI.  Caenyn Priest was 2 for 4 with a run scored and 2 RBI.  Drew Ellis was 2 for 4 with a run scored, and Dylan Kulhanek was 2 for 4 with 4 RBI.  The Bow juniors followed that up with with a dominant 15-1 win in five innings over Imperial on Sunday.  Caenyn Priest pitched a complete game giving up just one run on one hit and striking out nine.  Seven different players collected a hit.  Jackson Hall was 2 for 4 with two runs scored and Queston Young was 2 for 3 with two runs scored and an RBI.  Aiden Page drove in a game high four runs.  The Bow juniors are now 12-7 on the season.

The Bow juniors and seniors will travel to Minden on Tuesday to finish and make up games that were delayed due to weather back on June 25th.  The juniors will pick up in the fourth inning with the Bow juniors leading 8-3.  The seniors game will follow.
