The Broken Bow American Legion juniors baseball team moved on through the winner’s bracket Saturday at the Class B Area 6 tournament in Holdrege. Broken Bow defeated Minden 11-1 in five innings. All of Broken Bow’s runs came in the first three innings highlighted by a six run third inning. Max Denson helped lead the offense going 2 for 2 with 2 runs scored and 4 RBI. Eli Coble was 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored and one run batted in. Coy Wardyn also had a multi hit game going 2 for 3 with two doubles. With the win, the Bow juniors extend their winning streak to twelve in a row and improve their overall record to 20-4. Broken Bow is now 2-0 in the tournament and continues play in the winner’s bracket on Sunday with game time scheduled for 7:30.
