The Broken Bow American Legion juniors baseball team faced Ogallala Saturday in an elimination game at the Class B Area 6 tournament in Minden. It was a back and forth game that saw Ogallala eventually come out on top. Broken Bow struck first scoring three runs in the top of the first, but Ogallala responded with three runs in the bottom of the first and added three more in the second to take a 6-3 lead before making it 7-3 with a run in the bottom of the fourth. Broken Bow would then rally with two runs in the fifth followed by a four run sixth inning to go in front 9-7. However, Ogallala came back with three runs in the bottom of the sixth and held Broken Bow scoreless in the seventh to claim a 10-9 win and advance in the tournament. The Bow juniors scored nine runs on just two hits but collected ten walks against Ogallala pitching. Aiden Page collected a hit and finished with two runs scored and one run batted in. Cooper Busch had a hit and an RBI. A young team that continued to grow and improve during the year, Broken Bow sees its season come to an end.
