The Broken Bow juniors and seniors baseball teams hosted Ogallala for a doubleheader Monday night at Paul Brown Field.
The Bow seniors remained unbeaten in league play and improved to 12-3 overall with a 9-3 win over Ogallala. Coy Wardyn pitched a complete game for the win giving up three runs on five hits and striking out eleven in seven full innings of work. Xach Lowry got the start at third base and delivered at the plate finishing 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored. Carter Hall also had a multi-hit game going 2 for 4 with a run scored.
The Bow juniors collected their 10th win of the season holding off Ogallala for a 14-11 win. Broken Bow led 9-8 going to the bottom of the fifth where they scored five runs to create separation and then hung on for the win. Drew Ellis was 2 for 4 at the plate with 3 runs scored and 5 RBI. Owen Hawkins came off the bench to collect a double and drive in two runs. Caenyn Priest also had a multi-hit game finishing 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI.
The Bow juniors and seniors will travel to Minden for a doubleheader on Wednesday.
