Broken Bow Juniors and Seniors Fall to North Platte

The Broken Bow American Legion juniors suffered their first loss of the season Tuesday night falling to North Platte 12-5. North Platte jumped out to a 6-1 lead after two innings. Bow tried to battle back making the score 8-5 after the fifth inning but North Platte scored four runs in the top of the sixth to secure the win. Broken Bow’s offense was led by Drew Ellis who finished 2 for 3 at the plate with a double and 2 RBI.  The juniors are now 6-1 on the year.

It was a tough night for the Bow seniors who were shutout by North Platte in five innings 9-0.  Broken Bow finished with just three hits in the game and committed five errors defensively.  Brice Chaplin collected two of the three hits for the Bow seniors who drop to 6-3 on the season.

The Bow juniors and seniors will host Holdrege Wednesday night at Paul Brown Field.  The juniors game is scheduled for 5:30 with the seniors game to follow at 8 p.m.  The seniors game will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM.
