The Broken Bow girls golf team got off to a strong start this season by winning the Kearney Catholic Invitational Thursday and Meadowlark Hills golf course in Kearney. Bow won the team title with a 344. Kearney Catholic was runner up with a 393. All five members of the Lady Indians golf team finished in the top ten individually. Camryn Johnson was the individual champion of the meet with a low round of 76. Johnson’s 76 also tied the school record for low 18 hole score. Molly Custer placed 3rd with an 84. Lainey Palmer was 5th with a 90. Skylar Benjamin was 7th with a 94 and Taylor Schaaf placed 9th with a 98. The Broken Bow girls golf team will make a return trip to Meadowlark Hills tomorrow (8/26) to compete in the Kearney High Invitational.
