Broken Bow Girls and Boys Basketball Teams Begin Play Today in SWC Tournament

The Broken Bow girls and boys basketball teams will begin play in the Southwest Conference basketball tournament today.

Broken Bow is the #5 seed in the girls tournament and will open play on the road tonight against #4 Minden.  It will be the second meeting of the season between the two.  Minden won the regular season matchup between the two back in December.  The winner will advance to play top seed Ogallala in the semifinals on Friday at North Platte Community College.  Tonight’s Broken Bow / Minden girls game will be broadcast on KCNI 96.3 FM / kcni1280.com / Free KCNI Pure Country App with tip off scheduled for 6 p.m.

Broken Bow is the #6 seed in the boys tournament and will open play on the road against #3 seed Gothenburg.  The two met just last week in their regular season matchup with Gothenburg picking up the win.  The game is scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m. with the winner to advance and play the winner of Cozad vs Holdrege in the boys semifinals on Friday.
