The Broken Bow football team will play their first road game of the season as they travel out west to face Ogallala. Broken Bow is looking to bounce back after falling in their season opener last week to Boone Central. Head coach Carlie Wells visited with KCNI/KBBN radio this week and shared some of the things they saw on film from last Friday and what they look to improve on this week.
“We did film study. We looked at our mistakes and what we did wrong. We had a lot of errors with the snap and then we had some penalties that really cost us our drive. We knew we weren’t going to be able to stop them all the time because we are pretty young on defense but we felt like we had opportunities where we could have moved the ball and kept the ball out of their hands. We showed them some things we did wrong technique wise. Some of our guys up front really moved their guy but we just didn’t put it all together. Hopefully this week we can correct our mistakes and move forward and go out and play Ogallala well.”
Ogallala is also looking to bounce back this week after falling to Gothenburg in their opener 29-6. Tonight’s game will be broadcast on KCNI 96.3 FM and kcni1280.com. Coverage starts with the Custer Federal State Bank pregame show at 6 followed by the kickoff at 7 p.m. CDT.
