The Broken Bow football team will conclude its regular season tonight when they travel to face the Gothenburg Swedes. Broken Bow head coach Carlie Wells visited with KCNI/KBBN sports this week and talked about the improvement he has seen from his football team since week one to now.
“We’ve made tremendous strides. We’ve been in every game, had a chance except for one game, that was against Cozad. But overall I thought we’ve shown through the season great growth. Our young kids have really shown a lot of growth through the year. We play a lot of sophomores and sometimes we play a freshman or two. I think they’ve gotten better at their respective positions and what they do and they’ve learned and really tried to compete every week. I’m just proud of what their effort is so far and we really want to come out and show that same effort and determination and compete again.”
Tonight’s game between Broken Bow and Gothenburg will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM and kbbn.com. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
