Broken Bow Finishes Third at SWC Girls Wrestling Tournament

The Southwest Conference girls wrestling championships took place Saturday. The tournament champion was Minden with 152.5 points. McCook was runner up and Broken Bow placed third with 96 points. The Lady Indians had three conference champions and two conference runners up. Dacie Henderson won the conference title at 105 lbs. Henderson won by fall over Izzie Longberry of McCook in the championship match. Stayci Medina Lopez was champion at 170 lbs. winning by fall over Madyson Weekley of Holdrege in the title match. Ida Bumgarner was champion at 190 lbs. winning by a 7-4 decision over MayCee Beat of Holdrege. Zoe Jones was runner up at 115 lbs. and Lailah Jones was runner up at 120 lbs. Broken Bow’s Carli Griffiths placed fourth at 125.
